According to reports, JYP Entertainment filed trademarks on April 23 for 4 new names in both Korean and English: KIRAKLE, TIRUMICO, CAPPUSIA, and CHERYSHA. Among them, KIRAKLE is drawing the most attention from K-pop fans, as it has been filed under a category related to entertainment services. Because of that, many are wondering whether it could be the name of JYP’s next girl group or a new unit.

The trademark categories for the 4 names appear to be different. CAPPUSIA was reportedly filed under Class 18 for bags, while CHERYSHA was filed under Classes 14 and 16, covering items such as accessories and printed goods. TIRUMICO was filed under Classes 3, 9, and 14, which include cosmetics, apps, and accessories.

Unlike the others, KIRAKLE was reportedly the only name filed under Class 41, which covers entertainment services. This has led to speculation that KIRAKLE may be connected to a new artist project, girl group, or unit name. Fans are also comparing the situation to NMIXX, as JYP filed the trademark for NMIXX in September 2021 before officially debuting the group about 5 months later in February 2022.

Although nothing has been confirmed, the timing and filing category have made KIRAKLE the strongest candidate among the newly discovered names. The filings also suggest that JYP Entertainment may be continuing to expand its IP, merchandise, and lifestyle business.

JYP Entertainment

Between March and May 2025, JYP reportedly filed multiple trademarks, including DOUBLETHECAKE, dodree, and D25, across categories such as cosmetics, content, clothing, accessories, and entertainment. Among them, dodree has already been confirmed as a female duo under JYP-affiliated INNIT Entertainment, with their debut set for February 2026. Because of this, fans are paying close attention to whether the latest names could also become future artist brands or connected merchandise lines.

Additional filings related to Stray Kids and NEXZ were also spotted. SKZ was filed under Class 16 for printed materials, leading some to believe it may be connected to Stray Kids’ character brand SKZOO. JYP previously won a legal battle related to the SKZOO trademark, with the registration announcement for Class 25 completed on January 22, 2025.

Meanwhile, NEXZOO, believed to be the character brand for JYP’s global boy group NEXZ, was filed under Class 38, which covers telecommunications and broadcasting. This has sparked speculation that JYP may be preparing its own broadcast or streaming-related content for the brand.

For now, JYP Entertainment has not officially announced whether KIRAKLE is connected to a new girl group. However, the trademark filing has already become a major topic among K-pop fans waiting for the company’s next move.
