The girl group Kiss of Life is facing controversy over the choreography of their latest comeback track “Who Is She.”
According to Koreaboo, while the group has received praise for the song’s catchy sound, their performance and visual concept have sparked heated debate among viewers.
Dance challenge videos circulating on social media have drawn mixed reactions. Some audiences argue that the choreography leans toward being “overly suggestive,” with outfits and styling considered “inappropriate for younger viewers.”
Critics have pointed out that the performance “lacks restraint,” with some even describing it as “uncomfortable to watch and difficult to replicate as a mainstream dance challenge.”

Members Julie and Belle addressed the issue during a live broadcast. Representing the group, they explained that they “aim to continuously challenge themselves and embrace a strong, confident image.” They emphasized that they are “open to constructive feedback and respect differing opinions among audiences.” However, they also noted that “overly harsh or attacking comments can negatively impact their mental well-being.”
Debuting in 2023 with members Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul, Kiss of Life quickly established a mature, performance-driven concept. Following their debut track “Shhh,” the group gained attention with releases such as “Bad News,” “Sticky,” and “Igloo.”

However, this artistic direction has repeatedly sparked controversy. During promotions for “Sticky,” the group faced criticism over choreography and camera work that highlighted sensual elements. Later, in their mini-album 224, the track “Lips Hips Kiss” also drew backlash for certain moves deemed provocative, including gestures combined with suggestive stage expressions.
Beyond choreography, the group has also been involved in controversies related to their image and remarks during a personal livestream, which led their agency S2 Entertainment to remove the content and issue an apology.
As the group continues to attract attention with each release, the recurring debates have raised concerns about the consistency of their public image despite their music maintaining a steady level of interest among fans.
