On the April 12 broadcast of the SBS variety show My Little Old Boy, Lee Beom Soo appeared as a guest.

During the episode, he shared, “As many people know, I went through personal issues for about 2–3 years. It was a sad and painful time. Recently, things were resolved well,” revealing that he finalized a mutual divorce with Lee Yoon Jin after two years of legal proceedings.

He continued, “In a divorce, there is no winner. Both sides are hurt. My pain isn’t what matters I feel most sorry toward my children and the pain caused to my family.”

The divorce process between Lee Beom Soo and Lee Yoon Jin was far from smooth. During the proceedings, Lee Yoon Jin posted exposé-like statements on social media, sparking numerous rumors. She claimed, “Our daughter was banned from entering the Seoul home since late last year just because she chose to attend middle school abroad,” and further alleged “a bizarre double life, secret hobbies, things locked away with padlocks, and even hidden phones inside socks,” calling it “deception and betrayal toward a sincere family.”

She also revealed that her parents, who were approaching their 70s, had emptied their bank accounts to help overcome financial difficulties, yet were allegedly insulted by her mother-in-law with remarks like “Raise your daughter properly before sending her off,” which brought them to tears.

Responding to these allegations, Lee Beom Soo stated, “There were many misunderstandings. It was very upsetting from my perspective. Still, I think it was right to remain silent. I felt sorry for my children and didn’t want to speak out about something negative. I just felt deeply sorry for them.”

Currently, the actor is living alone in what used to be the family home. He shared that he personally cleans the rooms of his daughter and son, where traces of their presence still remain.

He explained, “During the lawsuit, my daughter stayed with her mother, and my son said he wanted to stay with me, so we lived together. He must have missed his mom a lot. I drove him to school every day so he wouldn’t feel alone. Even if he didn’t show it, he must have missed her. My children are very mature.”

Lee Beom Soo also described the physical toll after the legal settlement, saying, “As soon as the agreement was finalized, I lay down on the bed without realizing it. The next day, my whole body felt like it had been beaten. I thought I got sick as the tension finally released.”

He added, “A few days after the settlement, my children contacted me saying they missed me. I think it was the first time in years that I laughed with them.”

Lee Beom Soo married Lee Yoon Jin in 2010 and they have one son and one daughter together. The couple announced their separation in March 2024 and proceeded with divorce procedures, officially concluding the legal process through mutual agreement this past February.
