Apink member Yoon Bomi (33) is set to tie the knot on May 16, celebrating her wedding with composer Rado (42), whose real name is Song Ju-young. According to reports on February 7, the couple will hold their wedding ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, a venue well known for hosting high-profile celebrity weddings.
While Yoon Bomi’s marriage plans had been previously reported, details regarding the exact date and location had not been disclosed until now. The Grand Hyatt Seoul has been a popular choice among celebrities, having hosted weddings for couples such as Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung, Lee Kyu-hyuk and Son Dam-bi, and most recently, director Kim Byung-woo and T-ara’s Hahm Eun-jung.
Yoon Bomi’s agency, Withus Entertainment, released an official statement confirming the news, saying, “Yoon Bomi will be starting a new chapter of her life as she marries a precious partner who has stood by her side for a long time. We ask for your warm support and blessings for the couple.” The agency also emphasized that Yoon Bomi plans to continue her career actively even after marriage, maintaining her roles as an Apink member as well as an actress and variety show personality.
Yoon Bomi and Rado first crossed paths in 2016 while working on Apink’s third full-length album. Their professional relationship soon developed into a romantic one, and the couple has been together for nine years. They publicly acknowledged their relationship in April last year. Rado, a member of the hit-producing duo Black Eyed Pilseung, has worked closely with Apink, composing some of the group’s most successful songs, including “I’m So Sick” and “Dumhdurum.”
Yoon Bomi debuted as a member of Apink in 2011 and is now in her 16th year in the industry. The group recently made a full-member comeback on January 5 with their 11th mini album RE : LOVE, marking their return after approximately two years and one month.
