On February 6, Netflix announced via its official social media channels that Lisa will lead a new feature-length romantic comedy inspired by the classic film Notting Hill, signaling her challenge as a full-fledged “rom-com queen.”
The screenplay will be written by American screenwriter Katie Silberman, known for her work on romantic comedy hits such as Set It Up, Isn’t It Romantic, and Booksmart. According to U.S. outlet Deadline, Lisa will reunite with producer David Bernad, who previously worked with her as an executive producer on HBO’s The White Lotus Season 3. During the production of The White Lotus Season 3, Lisa and Bernad reportedly bonded over their shared love for Notting Hill, which eventually evolved into the concept for this new project. As a result, Lisa will not only star in the film but also participate as an executive producer, demonstrating her growing influence behind the scenes.

After making her acting debut through The White Lotus Season 3, which premiered early last year, Lisa has quickly confirmed her next projects, marking the beginning of her serious transition into acting. In addition to the romantic comedy, she is also set to appear in the Netflix film Tygo, starring Ma Dong-seok and Lee Jin-wook. The film follows Tygo, a former child-soldier turned mercenary who goes on a revenge mission through Korea’s criminal underworld. The movie shares the same cinematic universe as the global action hit Extraction.

In Tygo, Lisa plays Ria, Tygo’s friend and mission partner who grew up alongside him during their perilous childhood. As someone who is like family to Tygo, her character becomes the driving force behind the high-stakes rescue mission after falling into danger.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s group BLACKPINK is also gearing up for a comeback, with the release of their third mini-album Deadline scheduled for February 27 at 2 p.m. The album’s title track is GO, further heightening anticipation for both Lisa’s musical and acting endeavors as she continues to broaden her global career.
