Japanese idol girl group APOKALIPPPS has officially announced its disbandment after eight years of activity, marking the end of a long and evolving journey in the idol scene.

APOKALIPPPS was formed by former Nama Hamu to Yaki Udon member Nishii Marina and debuted on August 27, 2017, with four members. Just months later, the group expanded to eight members, though early lineup changes followed quickly. Member Adashino Yurari departed less than a month after joining in November 2017, setting the tone for frequent lineup changes in the years that followed.

Since their debut, APOKALIPPPS has undergone numerous member changes. As of January 2026, the group consists of only two remaining members: founding member Nishii Marina and Erika-chan Baby, who joined in November 2017. In total, nine former members have passed through the group over the years.

On August 25, 2025, APOKALIPPPS announced their official disbandment date via social media, along with details of their final activities. Their farewell chapter, titled [THE FINAL RIDE], began with a live performance on September 16, 2025.

The group is set to officially disband on January 11, 2026, following their final performance at Koenji HIGH in Tokyo, Japan.

The announcement has drawn emotional reactions from longtime fans, many of whom have followed the group through its many transformations. APOKALIPPPS’ disbandment reflects the challenges faced by long-running idol groups, particularly those navigating constant lineup changes and an increasingly competitive industry.

As the group prepares to say goodbye, fans are celebrating their eight-year legacy and the dedication shown by the remaining members through the final stage of their journey.
