On December 22, a netizen who stayed at the Jungwon Valley campsite in Yangpyeong shared a detailed account on an online camping community, claiming that a workshop group involving actress Lee Si Young had caused discomfort to other campers. According to the post, loud music from speakers, shouting, and group activities continued for extended periods, disrupting the peaceful camping environment.

The writer described the scene as chaotic, saying that the campsite no longer felt like a place for rest but more like a corporate workshop or a college retreat. “There was music blasting from speakers, someone walking around shirtless while dancing, and people clearly swept up in the atmosphere,” the post read. “It didn’t feel like a campsite anymore.”

Lee Si Young campsite noise controversy

The netizen further claimed that the group used microphones to host games, dividing themselves into teams and shouting answers loudly. “We could hear the host’s voice and people screaming answers clearly inside our tent,” they said, adding that the constant noise caused severe stress for their family, including a five-year-old child.

Criticism was also directed at the campsite management, which allegedly failed to properly intervene. The camper stated that although the campsite owner apologized the following morning after hearing the complaints, the noise continued into the next day. “They placed a Bluetooth speaker on top of a car and played music nonstop from morning into the afternoon. It was so loud that we could clearly identify and sing along to the songs from inside our tent,” the post claimed.

Additional complaints included loud games such as treasure hunts and even water-entry activities, all contributing to prolonged noise. The original poster shared videos taken at night showing the alleged situation, expressing frustration that the campsite failed to enforce rules. They concluded by saying that the experience was so mentally exhausting that their family decided to take a break from camping for at least one or two months.

Other campers who were reportedly present echoed similar frustrations. One commented that the group was equally loud on the second night, adding, “Even if Lee Si Young herself wasn’t directly involved, her staff’s behavior could seriously damage her public image. They should be more aware of that.”

The original post has been flooded with critical comments, including remarks such as, “They played loudly past quiet hours and caused inconvenience to everyone,” “Shouting and blasting music late at night is unbelievable,” and “Other people’s kids were trying to sleep while they were screaming and playing games until midnight.” Some commenters also pointed fingers at the campsite management, arguing that large groups should have booked the entire site to avoid disturbing others.

As of now, there has been no official response from Lee Si Young or her agency regarding the allegations.
