Chris Wong, the girlfriend of veteran Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei, has recently become the subject of controversy after reports suggested she may already have a husband and child in mainland China, following her legal troubles in Hong Kong.

According to HK01, Chris Wong who was previously introduced as Lee Lung Kei’s fiancée was recently photographed by paparazzi dining in Foshan. The dinner reportedly included her mother, her son, and a man in his 40s. Sources claim the man, surnamed Chen, is Chris Wong’s husband. The two are said to have married in 2007, never divorced, and share a son who is now around 16 years old.

The same sources allege that after returning to mainland China, Chris Wong cut off contact with Lee Lung Kei. The couple have reportedly had no interaction for several months. As of now, Chris Wong has not responded publicly to the allegations.

Previously, in an interview with the media in November, Lee Lung Kei stated that his fiancée was busy managing her family’s business affairs, which explained why they rarely saw each other. He insisted at the time that the two would soon officially register their marriage.

Lee Lung Kei has since returned to Hong Kong to resume work and has noticeably stopped mentioning his relationship with Chris Wong, despite once saying he would marry her immediately after her release from prison. Recently, he was seen attending events and appearing close to a younger actress. When questioned about rumors of a new romance, he denied them.

Lee Lung Kei is a well-known Hong Kong artist who previously signed with ATV and TVB. He began his career singing theme songs for television dramas before becoming a freelance singer and actor. He once revealed that during his peak in the 1980s, he lived extravagantly, owning multiple luxury cars such as Porsche and BMW, and even a private plane. His filmography includes notable works such as A Step Into the Past, Journey to the West, The Great Pretenders, Witness to a Prosecution, and The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. He was previously married to a wife nearly 30 years younger, with whom he has three children, and the couple divorced several years ago. He met Chris Wong in 2018, after which the two became inseparable, frequently appearing together at events, publicly dating, and announcing plans to marry. However, before the wedding could take place, Chris became entangled in legal issues.

Chris Wong was arrested in February last year. Investigators found that she had used forged U.S. university diplomas when applying to enter Hong Kong under a preferential immigration scheme. At a court hearing on June 19, 2024, she was sentenced to 25 months in prison for seven offenses, including using false documents, providing false information to obtain entry into Hong Kong, and overstaying her visa. She pleaded guilty and accepted the sentence. Throughout her imprisonment, Lee Lung Kei visited her frequently and publicly expressed his intention to propose after her release. However, in July, after completing her sentence, Chris Wong returned to mainland China.
