A woman has gone viral after sharing her shocking first-date experience with a K-pop idol, leaving netizens stunned by his alleged behavior.
K-pop idols are often seen as untouchable figures living glamorous lives, but behind the scenes, many navigate dating just like anyone else—albeit far more discreetly. Recently, one woman’s encounter with a supposed idol sparked massive online discussion after she detailed the experience on TikTok.
TikTok user @ryukkongee uploaded a storytime video titled “date with a kpop idol,” explaining how she met the man while dancing at a club. According to her account, she noticed an extremely handsome man staring at her for a long time before finally approaching her as she was about to leave.
He asked for her phone number, but she declined. After some hesitation on his part, the two exchanged Instagram accounts instead. She noted that his account was private and contained only a few photos of himself.
The very next day, he asked her out on a date.
Things quickly went downhill. The man reportedly arrived 20 minutes late without apologizing, then casually revealed that he was a K-pop idol—adding that his group was “not doing well.” He also claimed to have debuted twice and said he was currently taking dance lessons in hopes of debuting again.
According to the woman, nearly the entire date revolved around his idol career. She said he repeatedly talked about his trainee days, name-dropped several currently active idols he had trained with, and even claimed he once had a fling with one of them.
As the dinner continued, she began to feel that he relied heavily on his “K-pop idol” title and good looks to impress women and hook up with them. When he invited her back to his place, she declined.
Shortly after, he blocked her on Instagram—but surprisingly continued messaging her on a different platform.
The video quickly gained traction, with viewers flooding the comments. Many attempted to guess the idol’s identity, while others criticized his alleged behavior and expressed disappointment.

The TikTok has since amassed hundreds of thousands of views, likes, and comments, reigniting conversations about dating culture, power dynamics, and accountability—even among idols whose careers may be struggling.
As with all viral stories, the identity of the idol remains unconfirmed, and the claims are based solely on the woman’s personal account. Still, the story has left a lasting impression on netizens, serving as a reminder that fame does not excuse questionable behavior.
