On December 18, Baekhyun’s agency INB100 released an official statement detailing the progress and outcomes of multiple legal actions taken against individuals who posted defamatory content, insults, and stalking-related false claims online.

According to the agency, several cases were formally filed under violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation), insult charges, and the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes. Notably, at least one case has already resulted in a criminal fine, signaling that legal consequences are no longer hypothetical.

INB100 revealed that a case submitted to the Gwangjin Police Station in April 2025 has already concluded with the defendant receiving a fine. Additional cases filed with the Gangnam Police Station in May and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Cyber Investigation Unit in September are currently under active investigation.

The agency emphasized that the recent surge in malicious posts intensified following Baekhyun’s September indoor smoking controversy, during which distorted narratives, personal attacks, and fabricated claims spread rapidly across online communities and social media platforms.

Beyond that incident, INB100 has also been monitoring:

  • Groundless financial rumors regarding the management and ownership of INB100
  • False eyewitness accounts bordering on stalking behavior
  • Repeated personal attacks targeting Baekhyun’s private life

The agency made it clear that no leniency will be granted, regardless of how long legal proceedings may take.

INB100 stressed that it operates a 24/7 monitoring system independent of ongoing lawsuits and actively incorporates fan-submitted reports as key legal evidence.

The agency also pledged transparency, promising to update fans whenever meaningful legal progress is made.

Earlier this month, speculation began circulating after a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that “the CEO of ONE HUNDRED and her husband are registered at separate residences” and alleged that she was living in the same building as “a male K-pop idol from a popular group, Mr. B.”

The vague wording quickly fueled assumptions that the idol in question was Baekhyun and that the reference pointed to ONE HUNDRED chairwoman Cha Ga-won. Netizens later noticed that posts mentioning the rumors were being deleted or reported, further intensifying speculation.

The rumors resurfaced following EXO’s recent fanmeeting, which Baekhyun did not attend amid ongoing issues involving CBX and SM Entertainment. A post referencing a question allegedly raised at the event soon began circulating online.

The post framed a provocative comparison alongside a photo claimed to show Baekhyun’s car parked illegally:

“If you want CBX to rejoin EXO, pay back at least ₩600 million KRW (about $408,000 USD) first”
“Spending ₩600 million KRW without blinking on a flashy Rolls-Royce, yet when you were dating the chairman, you’d just park illegally in no-parking zones.”

Some fans echoed frustration over the situation, interpreting the post as criticism tied to both the rumored relationship and Baekhyun’s absence from group activities.

However, many fans strongly rejected the claims, arguing that the accusations were unfounded and misleading. Several pointed out that the parking situation could have been handled by a valet service, while others noted discrepancies in the photo itself.

According to supporters, Baekhyun’s known vehicle is white and does not match the car shown in the image being circulated. Others criticized the spread of unverified claims, warning against turning speculation into character attacks.

As the rumors remain unconfirmed, the situation has exposed clear divisions within online fandom spaces with some demanding accountability and others calling for restraint and fact-checking.

Meanwhile, EXO’s Suho has also recently been mentioned in unrelated online speculation, adding to heightened tensions surrounding the group.

With no official statements addressing the allegations, reactions continue to vary widely, highlighting how quickly unverified rumors can escalate within K-pop fandom culture.
