The 2025 MAMA Awards opened its first chapter at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on November 28, where ENHYPEN and Rosé received two of the night’s prestigious Daesang honors amid a ceremony shaped by mourning and restraint.
ENHYPEN won Visa Fans’ Choice of the Year, while Rosé earned Visa Song of the Year for her global hit “APT.”, securing two of the event’s four major awards.
ENHYPEN Wins Fans’ Choice – Members Deliver Emotional Speeches
With additional wins in Fans’ Choice Male and Favorite Global Artist, ENHYPEN became three-time winners of the night. The members were visibly emotional as they took the stage, expressing gratitude to fans and their agency.
Jungwon shared heartfelt thanks, saying, “We want ENGENEs to feel proud of their name. Thank you to PD Bang Si-hyuk and Taeho-nim for respecting each of us not as products or business assets, but as human beings, guiding us to grow into better people. We truly love our Belift Lab family.”
Sunghoon added, “In two days, we reach our 5th anniversary. This feels like a gift from ENGENEs.”
Jay reflected on the group’s journey: “This award feels like the result of our five years. My dream came true today thanks to you. Never give up on your dreams they will become reality.”
Jake emphasized unity and perseverance, stating, “Without the members, none of this would have been possible. We still have a long way to go, but we will overcome challenges by believing in ourselves and our music.”
A tearful Sunoo said, “Thinking about everything we’ve gone through makes this award feel even more precious.”
Ni-ki and Heeseung both expressed love for their fans, with Heeseung sharing, “ENGENEs made me a truly happy person. I love you.”
Rosé Shares Message Through Video – Thanks Fans and Bruno Mars
Rosé, who was not present at the ceremony, delivered a video acceptance speech after winning Song of the Year with “APT.”
She said, “I’ve received such a big award. Thank you so much to all the fans who showed me love this year.”
She also addressed collaborator Bruno Mars: “Bruno, we won Song of the Year. I’m so happy that we received this together. Thank you we made many wonderful memories at the MAMA Awards.”

A Ceremony Marked by Remembrance
Due to the recent catastrophic Hong Kong fire, the 2025 MAMA Awards moved forward with a subdued tone. Most artists appeared in monochrome attire, wearing black ribbons on their chests. Special effects such as fireworks were removed from performances.
Host Park Bo-gum opened the night with a moment of silence: “We offer our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones in this tragic accident. We sincerely hope no further harm occurs.”
