Taiwanese media reported that Korean idol and cheerleader Yeom Sebin has sought psychiatric treatment after allegedly enduring prolonged sexual harassment from a former Korean manager during her activities in Taiwan.

According to Taiwan News, the manager — identified by the surname Hwang — previously worked closely with Korean cheerleaders active in Taiwan. He has been accused of repeatedly behaving inappropriately toward Yeom Sebin, including unwanted physical contact, intentionally pressing close to her during events, and once drunkenly forcing his way into her room. Despite Sebin reportedly raising concerns multiple times, her complaints were ignored.

Her current manager confirmed that Yeom Sebin recently faced extreme psychological stress and was advised to visit a psychiatry and mental health department for evaluation and treatment.

In a statement shared on social media, he emphasized, “Boundaries between people are subjective. When words or actions surpass what someone can endure, it becomes harassment and harm. Respect is the most important boundary.”
Manager Hwang, who has worked with several other Korean members in Taiwan’s cheerleading scene and was rumored to have similar behavior in the past, has denied the allegations.
Born in 2002, Yeom Sebin is considered one of the rising stars among Korean cheerleaders in Taiwan. She first began cheerleading in Korea before joining Rakuten Girls in March 2025. Known for her bright visuals, strong dance skills, and energetic stage presence, she quickly became recognized as one of the team’s “three Korean pillars.”
Beyond cheerleading, she also released independent music under the stage name Snooze in late 2024 and participated in songwriting.
