On November 12, ADOR released an official statement confirming that Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to resume working with the company. “After careful deliberation with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, Haerin and Hyein have chosen to respect the court’s ruling and uphold their exclusive contracts,” the agency said.

ADOR added, “We will provide our utmost support to ensure Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment careers smoothly. We ask fans for their warm encouragement and kindly request refraining from speculation about the members.”

The statement follows a legal conflict that began in November last year, when NewJeans claimed that ADOR had failed to fulfill its contractual obligations, leading them to declare the termination of their contracts.

In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit in December 2024 seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contracts. On October 30, 2025, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of ADOR, recognizing the contracts as legally binding.

Despite the ruling, NewJeans’ legal representatives at Sejong Law Firm declared an immediate appeal, stating that the members could no longer maintain a professional relationship with ADOR due to a complete breakdown in trust.

With Haerin and Hyein choosing to return, public attention now turns to the remaining members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle and their next steps.
