On October 30, a new video titled “Disaster Awaits If You Don’t Work Out, Jihyo… (Feat. Song Ji Hyo, Kim Byung Chul, Ma Sun Ho)” was uploaded to Kim Jong-kook’s YouTube channel, Gym Jong Kook. Amid banter with friends, the veteran performer opened up about his recent move to Galaxy Corporation, where K-pop legend G-Dragon and actor Song Kang-ho are also signed.
In the clip, Ma Sun Ho jokingly asked, “Didn’t I send you a message after your concert saying thank you and how great it was? But why did you only reply with ‘quiet quiet’?” Laughing, Kim Jong-kook replied, “I don’t remember that. But if I did say ‘quiet quiet,’ it’s probably because you keep saying useless stuff.”
He then pivoted to discuss his exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, signed this past September. “I moved to a bigger world,” Kim said. “I’ve never been part of a major agency in my life. This is definitely different.”

When asked what stood out most, he explained: “After my 30th anniversary concert, Galaxy’s CEO sent meat to all the dancers, band members everyone who worked hard on the show. That level of appreciation from the start really shocked me.” He added, “Galaxy’s welfare? It’s no joke.”
The video arrives just weeks after another major development: Kim Jong-kook’s private wedding, held on September 5. Only about 100 guests limited to family, relatives, and close friends were invited, and the event was kept entirely off the public radar until after it took place.
With both a new chapter in his personal life and a fresh start with a major entertainment company, Kim Jong-kook’s late 2025 has turned into one of the most eventful and surprising periods of his decades-long career. Fans are eager to see what this partnership with Galaxy Corporation will bring for the veteran star known for his powerhouse vocals, athleticism, and beloved persona on variety shows.
