According to an exclusive report on October 22, Kim Seon-ho will portray the main character in May the Congressman Be Protected, which is adapted from a popular web novel by writer Kim Hyun-bin. The story has garnered a strong fanbase thanks to its unique concept and engaging plot.
The drama follows Gu Young-jin, a heavyweight six-term lawmaker, who mysteriously takes his own life in 2008 and awakens as a ghost in 1998. There, he meets Cha Jae-rim, a Grade 9 civil servant who can see ghosts. Together, they team up to take on the world of politics, combining the insight of a seasoned politician with the unshakable morality of a government worker.

Kim Seon-ho will play Cha Jae-rim, the civil servant who becomes an unexpected political star after partnering with the ghost of Gu Young-jin. Their dynamic leads to a political showdown that blends fantasy and intrigue.
Kim Seon-ho made his acting debut in the 2009 play New Boeing Boeing and has since built an impressive portfolio through dramas such as Good Manager, 100 Days My Prince, Start-Up, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and The Tyrant.
He recently completed filming the romantic drama Can This Love Be Translated? alongside Go Youn-jung and is currently filming Delusion with Suzy. Production for May the Congressman Be Protected is expected to begin after Delusion wraps.

The drama will be directed by Park Shin-woo, known for his visually striking direction in series like Jealousy Incarnate, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Encounter, and Our Unwritten Seoul. The collaboration between Kim Seon-ho and Park Shin-woo is already drawing high anticipation among fans.
