Actress Song Ji-hyo, long loved for her approachable image in variety shows and dramas, has also stepped into the role of CEO, steadily pushing forward with her lingerie brand. Despite early challenges, her persistence is now paying off.
Song officially launched her underwear brand last year, even modeling in promotional photoshoots to endorse the products. However, business started off slowly. On SBS’s Running Man in February, Yoo Jae-suk revealed: “Ji-hyo just started her business, but she’s really worried. She told me she sometimes only gets one or two orders a day.” Song Ji-hyo responded with determination: “I’ll work hard.” Still, despite her star power, initial sales were disappointing.
Things began to turn around after appearances on YouTube channels hosted by Kim Jong-kook and Ji Suk-jin, where her brand gained organic exposure. During a segment on Ji Suk-jin’s channel, Song’s staff confirmed: “Sales have gone up thanks to Kim Jong-kook.”
Later, she appeared on the YouTube show Pinggyego wearing her brand’s pajamas, directly showcasing her products. When asked if sales had improved, she replied positively: “They’ve gotten much better. Thanks to the oppas (brothers) inviting me to their YouTube shows, people have shown so much more interest in the brand.”

On September 23, she once again demonstrated her hands-on approach by posting photos of herself modeling her own products on her social media. Her genuine effort and visible affection for her brand are steadily translating into results, making her entrepreneurial journey all the more noteworthy.
