Singer Kim Gun-mo is officially making his comeback after six years of silence. Once hailed as the “original My Little Old Boy” and a household name thanks to his popularity on SBS’s My Little Old Boy, Kim had reached a second career peak before suspending all activities in 2019 following allegations that later proved unfounded.

Now, his long-awaited return has been confirmed with the announcement of his 2025–2026 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour “KIM GUN MO”, with tickets exclusively available on Yes24 starting August 29. The tour kicks off in Busan on September 27, then continues to Daegu on October 18, Daejeon on December 20, and expands to Seoul and other major cities in early 2026.

Despite his hiatus, Kim’s music remained alive through remakes by younger artists, constant streaming, and public discussions that kept his name in the spotlight. Insiders shared, “He may have left the stage, but he never once let go of music.” This marks the first time in six years that Kim may openly share his reflections on stage.

Kim Gun-mo’s career was abruptly halted in 2019 when he was accused of sexual assault by a nightclub employee over an incident alleged to have occurred in 2016. He withdrew from My Little Old Boy and suspended all public activities. However, prosecutors dismissed the charges in 2021, and subsequent appeals were also rejected, officially clearing his name.

In 2020, Kim married pianist Jang Ji-yeon, but the couple divorced after 2 years and 8 months, drawing public sympathy once again. Now, with his return, fans and the industry alike are eager to see if Kim Gun-mo can once again showcase the humor and energy that made him a beloved star for decades.
