On August 23, a post titled “G-Drakong Protector Flex Is Crazy” appeared on G-Dragon’s Instagram story, showing the star personally shopping at a Swiss luxury watch boutique.
In the video, G-Dragon is seen handing over high-end timepieces to his bodyguards, a gesture that immediately sparked fan buzz. This comes after G-Dragon’s collaboration with J-brand, which released the limited-edition Astronomia G-Dragon Watch. Only eight pieces were produced worldwide, each worth ₩1.6 billion KRW (~$1.2 million USD).
Earlier, G-Dragon had also gone viral for gifting jewelry to all of his dancers. A separate video showed them in “I ♥ GD” T-shirts, each receiving a luxury necklace case. The pieces came from his Peaceminusone collaboration with a jewelry brand, valued at around $1,200 USD each.
While the extravagant price tags grabbed headlines, fans noted that G-Dragon’s actions reflect loyalty and appreciation toward those who share the stage and protect him daily.
