According to Page Six and other U.S. outlets on August 13 (local time), DiCaprio attended a tequila party hosted by Spanish actor-singer Aron Piper. Before entering, he complied with police orders to undergo a body search and even emptied his pockets to show the contents. A source revealed that “police checked his ID twice before allowing him in”, noting that the actor responded with jokes and politeness throughout the process.
Reports clarified that all attendees at the event underwent the same security checks, and DiCaprio was not specifically singled out. A voice in a video taken at the scene can be heard saying “They are searching me full-on right now”, which is believed to be that of DiCaprio’s girlfriend, model Vittoria Ceretti.
Once celebrated as a ‘90s heartthrob for roles such as Romeo in the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet at just 22 years old, DiCaprio’s image has since transformed. The once-sharp jawline and boyish charm have given way to a bearded look and a fuller physique, leading some to label him an “icon of change” over the years.
