On August 13, TV Report revealed that actor Song Seung-hun opened up about the reasons behind his breakup with his former girlfriend, citing conflicts involving a close friend. The actor shared his story during a new variety show episode, where he appeared alongside Uhm Jung-hwa and participated in a personality test with MC Yoo Jae-suk.

When asked whether he confronts conflicts head-on or avoids them, Song Seung-hun admitted, “I tend to avoid conflicts. If I argued with my girlfriend and saw her the next day, I’d ask, ‘What should we eat?’ as if nothing happened. At that time, my girlfriend would still be upset and ask, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I don’t like prolonging arguments.”

He also recalled that meeting his school friends made him feel relaxed because they treated him as an ordinary person rather than a celebrity. He enjoyed spending time with friends, going to movies, and hanging out, even when in a relationship. However, his girlfriend often expressed frustration, asking, “Why do you like your friends more than me?”

Song Seung-hun explained that over time, his girlfriend grew increasingly hurt by the attention he gave to friends. It was only later that he understood her disappointment, which ultimately contributed to their breakup.

Born in 1976, Song Seung-hun gained fame with the classic drama Autumn in My Heart and has had notable relationships in the past, including dating Liu Yifei. The pair first met at a fashion event in 2012, co-starred in the 2014 drama The Third Way of Love, and officially started dating in August 2015.
