Actor Park Si-hoo was recently accused of playing a role in another couple’s marital breakdown. However, the man at the center of the controversy — the accuser’s ex-husband, Mr. Hwang — has come forward to deny the allegations.
In an exclusive phone interview with YTN Star on August 7, Hwang clarified: “Park Si-hoo is just a hometown acquaintance. He never introduced me to any woman.”
He further explained that the bank account seen in the leaked messages belongs to Park Si-hoo’s mother, and the woman in the photos was someone he had sent, not Park Si-hoo.
Regarding his relationship with the accuser, referred to as Ms. A, Hwang stated, “We divorced six years ago. Park Si-hoo has nothing to do with our past marriage. I believe this post was made to demand money.”
Hwang also claimed that Ms. A illegally entered his house while he was traveling, stealing his business phone, passport, cash, and jewelry — from which the controversial messages were obtained. He has reportedly filed charges for theft and trespassing, and police are investigating.
“I’m sorry Park Si-hoo was dragged into this because of my personal matter,” Hwang added. “He’s not that kind of person.”
Previously, on August 5, Ms. A posted messages and photos on social media accusing Park Si-hoo of introducing her husband to another woman, thereby causing the family’s collapse. The woman in the photos has since denied any connection to the case and announced plans for legal action over image misuse.
