On July 27, DJ Soda took to social media to share an update with her followers: “Everyone, here’s an update on my condition. My hair continues to break off, and I think I only have about 10% of my hair left now. Someone recently told me I look like an abused dog… and strangely, that comparison hit me really hard.”
She continued, “I used to have incredibly thick hair—so thick and strong it was like animal fur. I genuinely never met anyone in my life who had more hair than I did. I never imagined it would all fall out like this. I’m devastated and my heart is shattered.”
DJ Soda also revealed her disappointment in how the salon handled the situation. “I gave them a chance to sincerely apologize, and I was even willing to forgive without asking for a single penny. But to this day, instead of a heartfelt apology, they’ve only denied responsibility and asked me to take down my post, saying I complimented my hair on the day of the treatment.”
Last month, DJ Soda first revealed her ordeal, saying, “The salon completely ruined my hair… I wanted to surprise everyone with a platinum blonde transformation after three years. I went to my usual salon for bleaching, but they left the bleach on for too long. My roots melted, and the damage was so severe that I had to shave the entire back and sides of my head.”
She added, “I had healthy, thick hair that I’d carefully maintained for three years without bleaching. This has never happened to me before.”
