On July 25, Lee Min-woo of Shinhwa personally announced his marriage through a handwritten letter posted on social media, stating, “Today, I have news I want to share first with Changjo (the official fan club), so I picked up a pen.”
He wrote, “After going through various situations recently and feeling emotionally exhausted, I spent a lot of time with my family, which made me reflect on the true meaning of family once again. I’ve always had a vague wish that someday I would build a home of my own where we could support each other.”
He continued, “During that time, I reconnected with a precious person I’ve known for a long time. We realized we share the same feelings and decided to become a family,” officially announcing his marriage.
Sharing the news first with his fans, Min-woo expressed, “To our Changjo, who must be surprised by this sudden news—I’ve thought long and hard about how to share this and struggled to put pen to paper. But I didn’t want you to find out from somewhere else and feel hurt or disappointed, so I’m delivering the news myself, even if this message may seem clumsy.”
He added, “More than anything, I want to receive congratulations from Changjo, whom I cherish the most. I hope you will warmly bless this sincere message from my heart.”
Lastly, Lee Min-woo reassured fans by saying, “While this marks a new chapter in my life, I promise to continue standing on stage and being the same Lee Min-woo you’ve always known—supported by the love of Shinhwa Changjo and my family.”
