On July 24, episode 7 of the drama Bitch x Rich 2 (directed by Lim Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won, written by Kwak Young-im, produced by Whynot Media and Rian Contents) was released at 5 PM via domestic OTT platforms. In this episode, Baek Jena (played by Kim Yerim) faces a shocking turn of events as her once-solid status begins to crumble.
Jena is caught in a scheme orchestrated by Min Yul-hee (played by Park Si-woo), resulting in a positive drug test. Despite her pleas, both the school chairman Seo Hee-kwon (Oh Ji-ho) and even her own father, Baek Gyo-yeon (Lee Do-yeop), remain cold and unresponsive. Gyo-yeon, enraged by the incident, even declares that he will cut off all support for Jena. In a heartbreaking moment, a distraught Jena visits her mother, Seo Jae-kyung (Lee Da-hae), in tears.
Meanwhile, the tension between Kim Hye-in (Lee Eun-saem) and Kim Hae-in (Jang Sung-yoon) keeps viewers on edge. Although Hae-in obeys Yul-hee’s orders, her situation remains unchanged, prompting her to threaten Hye-in. In an attempt to defuse Hae-in’s fury, Hye-in says, “I’ll take Min Yul-hee’s necklace and go to the chairman first. Once things are sorted, I’ll go to the police,” bringing temporary calm. The tsundere friendship between Hye-in and Jena adds emotional depth to the episode. With nowhere else to go, Jena ends up at Hye-in’s house. Although surprised, Hye-in welcomes her warmly, creating their first truly heartwarming moment.
Additionally, Lee Sa-rang (Won Kyu-bin) plays a protective role for Hye-in. While out buying ramen for Jena, Hye-in is nearly attacked by Hwang Bo-seok (Yoon Jae-hyun), who holds a grudge. Just in time, Sa-rang steps in and rescues her. His gentle gesture of staying by Hye-in’s side until she returns home safely adds a layer of romantic excitement.
At the end of the episode, Hye-in and Sa-rang hatch a plan to lure Park Woo-jin (Jang Deok-soo), who has Oh Si-eun’s (Han Da-sol) phone, by pretending to be members of the secret group Black Dog. Just as Hye-in is about to confront Woo-jin, she receives a compromising video from Yul-hee, ramping up the suspense and foreshadowing an intense showdown in the episodes to come.
Bitch x Rich 2 airs every Thursday and Friday at 5 PM on domestic OTT platforms including Netflix, Wavve, and TVING. In addition, all episodes released during the week are broadcast every Friday at 12:10 AM on general programming channel MBN.
