It’s been a week since the shocking footage of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his HR director Kristin Cabot surfaced online—captured at a concert and exposing their alleged affair. But the scandal shows no sign of cooling down.
While Andy Byron has stepped down from his CEO role and retreated from the spotlight, public attention has shifted to the whereabouts of his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, and the state of their marriage.
According to the New York Post, Megan has left the couple’s $1.4 million family home in Northborough, Massachusetts, and moved roughly 160 km away to Kennebunk, Maine. She is now staying at a 380-square-meter, 4-bedroom property valued at $2.4 million, reportedly with her sister Maura.
Neighbors in both towns have acknowledged the scandal, many having watched the viral clip or read the numerous reports online. Although residents in Northborough have remained respectful of the family’s privacy, several women in Kennebunk expressed outrage, calling Byron’s behavior “unacceptable.”
“Everyone in town has seen the video, but the Byron family clearly doesn’t want people talking about it,” one local shared.
As of now, Megan has made no public statements. However, she has quietly removed her husband’s last name from her Facebook profile and reverted to her maiden name, Kerrigan. Her Facebook account is now deactivated, and multiple fake accounts pretending to be her have since appeared online.
Meanwhile, Andy Byron’s resignation has been accepted by Astronomer’s board, with co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy stepping in as interim CEO. Kristin Cabot, the HR director at the center of the scandal, has remained silent with no further updates.
