A forthcoming biography is set to uncover never-before-revealed details about the turbulent relationship between Amber Heard and tech billionaire Elon Musk a romance insiders now describe as volatile, obsessive, and ultimately destructive. According to the Daily Mail, the book also delves into Heard’s high-profile breakup with Johnny Depp and offers a deeper look into her stormy entanglement with Musk nearly a decade ago.
Initially, the relationship seemed to flourish. Heard was seen praising Musk, calling him “intelligent, interesting, and different from Hollywood stars”. The two shared romantic getaways, including a surprise visit by Amber to Musk’s Tesla factory for his birthday. Her sudden appearance, hiding behind a Tesla with a bouquet of flowers, marked what she described as “the most interesting date” she’d ever had.
From late-night visits to luxury retreats in Miami, their early days were filled with passion. Musk reportedly even had his own key to Heard’s LA apartment and visited frequently when Depp was absent.
But what started as affection reportedly spiraled into frequent arguments and controlling behavior. Musk himself later admitted in a Rolling Stone interview that the breakup had left him emotionally shattered: “I was in severe emotional pain for weeks. I had to pull myself together with Red Bulls and positive people just to launch the Model 3.”
Even more troubling are allegations from a source close to Heard, who claimed the actress described Musk as “possessive, jealous, and crazy”. The same source alleged that Musk had installed surveillance cameras in her home, planted listening devices in her car, and persistently monitored her—behaviors that reportedly made Heard feel suffocated and paranoid.
Their volatile bond officially ended in December 2017 after a disturbing incident during a trip to Rio de Janeiro. Heard locked herself in a hotel room, screaming that Musk had taken her passport. Though security and family members reassured her she was safe, the incident reportedly marked the point of no return.
Musk’s brother, Kimbal Musk, was quoted expressing disbelief, saying: “She’s an incredible actress. She can say things that make you think, ‘Wow, maybe she’s telling the truth’—but she’s not.”
In the aftermath, Heard reportedly sent a message to her agent, Christian Carino, confessing her heartbreak: “I hate that it’s public. I’m so sad.” Carino, however, challenged her sincerity, replying, “You never loved Elon. You told me a thousand times—it was just to fill a void.”
In a surprising twist, Heard also reportedly asked Carino to deliver a heartfelt letter to Johnny Depp—an emotional plea filled with love and regret: “Oh God, I miss him so much.”
