Mnet’s hit dance competition World Street Woman Fighter (WSWF) is back in full swing, and Episode 2 aired on June 3 with explosive energy, emotional rivalries, and the launch of the show’s iconic Rank Mission. Already, it’s topping ratings and online buzz charts, captivating audiences both domestically and globally.

According to Nielsen Korea, WSWF led its time slot among key demographics (ages 15–39 and 20–49) in the Seoul metropolitan area, especially dominating among female viewers in their teens, 20s, 30s, and 40s. Buzz online echoed this fervor. Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex ranked WSWF No. 1 in non-drama TV-OTT buzz, with contestants Lip J, Kyoka, and Team Korea’s BUMSUP also leading non-drama personality charts — a clear sign of intense viewer investment.

World Street Woman Fighter Episode 2 Recap

The episode featured the second half of the “weaker crew call-out battle.” A powerful face-off between U.S. breaking champion Logistix (MOTIV) and Korea’s waacking queen Lip J (BUMSUP) stood out for its sportsmanship and high-level artistry.

Relay battles added fresh tension with a double-score twist — teams earned double points for wins but suffered double penalties for losses. RH Tokyo took first place after defeating Osaka Ojo Gang, while BUMSUP’s sweet revenge on AG Squad still couldn’t lift them from the bottom of the leaderboard.

The episode’s biggest shift came with the launch of the Rank Mission, dividing dancers into Leader, Middle, and Rookie Classes. Each team choreographed to new original tracks, such as:

  • “Echo!” by SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi and Woozi
  • “Ridin'” by NMIXX’s Kyujin, Lily, and Jiwoo
  • “Flip Flop” by Padi, featuring Gummy and Since

In the Rookie Class, BUMSUP won the choreography round over RH Tokyo, but AG SQUAD’s Vanessa and Aaliyah claimed the main dancer title. Lip J, though not chosen, praised the duo: “They made my choreography shine.”

The Middle Class brought surprises as well. BUMSUP’s Leejung came close to winning choreography, but AG SQUAD’s inventive use of bandanas gave them the win. In the three-way main dancer face-off, Royal Family triumphed over RH Tokyo and AG SQUAD.

For the Leader Class, the competition was fierce. Global icons Kaea, Honey J, Marlee, Ibuki, Riehata, and Teesha all vied to choreograph to “Echo!”. Ultimately, Riehata’s international style won her the choreography crown, while Honey J earned praise for her culturally rich Korean-themed routine. With no one willing to settle for “backup dancer” status, tension is mounting for next week’s main dancer reveal.

As WSWF heads into full Rank Mission mode, its blend of national pride, artistic excellence, and strategic gameplay is once again proving why it’s one of the most compelling reality shows in Korean entertainment. Catch the next episode every Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST.
