This year, in celebration of T-ara’s 15th debut anniversary, Jiyeon, Hyomin, Qri, and Eunjung will be hosting a fan meeting. On Qri’s personal account, a post has already captured her preparing for the fan meeting upon arriving in Macau.
While enjoying food and cocktails at a restaurant with a night view of Macau, it appears that Jiyeon is planning to carry on with her schedule despite the recent divorce announcement.
T-ara halted activities after releasing their full group album “Re” in 2021. Jiyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Qri, who performed together until the end, have reunited to commemorate their 15th anniversary. Recently, through Jiyeon’s YouTube channel, they revealed new profile and concept photos and are working on merchandise as part of the events prepared for their fans.
Earlier, on the 5th, Choi Yuna, a lawyer from Taesung Law Firm representing Jiyeon, released an official statement saying, “The two could not overcome their differences and, after a period of separation, have agreed to divorce. They have filed for divorce mediation at the Seoul Family Court.”
Through her legal representative, Jiyeon expressed, “I apologize for bringing this unfortunate news. We have mutually agreed to proceed with divorce mediation.” Hwang Jae-gyun also stated, “I apologize for delivering this bad news to many fans. After much deliberation and a period of separation, Jiyeon and I have agreed to divorce due to personality differences.”
The couple, who got married in December 2022, faced divorce rumors in June when KNN Radio commentator Lee Gwang-gil, during a casual conversation while broadcasting a professional baseball game, said, “Did you know? Hwang Jae-gyun is divorced.” This statement spread quickly, sparking speculation about their marriage. Though the commentator later clarified that it was a misunderstanding and Jiyeon’s side also denied the rumors, the speculation resurfaced last month when Hwang Jae-gyun was spotted drinking with acquaintances until 6 AM.
