Recently, OSEN had an interview with Ham Eun-jung, T-ARA member and the lead actress of KBS1’s daily drama “Suji & Uri.”
After finishing “Suji & Uri,” Ham will depart for China to attend the 15th anniversary fan meeting of T-ARA. “I’m leaving this week. It was supposed to be a photo card goods event in China for us to meet the fans, but it was first reported as a fan meeting. We thought we should make it a fan meeting event, so we prepared a live broadcast,” she said.
“The four members of T-ARA, Jiyeon, Qri, Eunjung, and Hyomin, who were together during the last promotion, will will do it together,” she said. “There have been constant suggestions for Asian tours when 2nd generation idols come back. It’s nice to keep doing it. It was a goods event, but it got bigger, and it was so nice. Since this happens, I wonder if T-ARA will continue to do well next year. We’ve also had several suggestions for new songs. I’m doing solo activities in Japan, and it would be better if I do it with T-ARA,” she said.
However, when asked about the possibility of a reunion, she talked about practical difficulties. “We do not talk about a reunion, but share when work comes in,” Ham said. “T-ara doesn’t have a company. As each of us is working separately, we can’t do it without our affection and determination. We need a control tower,” Ham said. “I really appreciate that we are constantly receiving offers even though there is no new song.” “I want to do it in Korea, too. Fans were so sad because we were going overseas all the time. How big would it be if we could hold a concert where people who listened to our songs can come and enjoy them and create memories?“
Especially, as time has passed since her debut, more and more members are getting married and starting a family, including Soyeon, who left T-ARA. When asked about her wedding plans, Ham Eun-jung said, “I want to do my best as much as I can. I want to start a family, but I’ve been an actress without T-ara, so I want to do a little more. It’s my greed.” The members said, “It’s not going to work as I say,” so I’m afraid, but I still want to try it. I started as a child actress and worked as a member of T-ARA for over 10 years, so I hope (marriage) doesn’t invade too much into my field. I have a lot of greed for work, so I want to get married (after) doing my job a little more firmly.“
When asked if she was stimulated by the current members of the group who are married, Ham said, “There is no such thing. They understand their strengths and weaknesses, and they each have their own lives.”
