BLACKPINK’s Lisa Faces Backlash for “Not Supporting” Other Members

Fans of BLACKPINK are removing Lisa from group pictures as “retaliation” to the female idol’s “lack of support” for other members.

On October 2, a picture featuring only three members of BLACKPINK went viral on social media platform X, amassing 3.4 million views and 33,600 likes. The photo only included Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé, with the caption, “The real pretty girls who always support each other.”

The image of the three BLACKPINK members received a flood of likes on social media.

The real intent behind the photo is to criticize Lisa, after many fans believe that Lisa lacks enthusiasm when it comes to supporting her fellow members and rarely posts about their solo projects. Even during BLACKPINK anniversaries or group song releases, she often prioritizes posting pictures of herself rather than the entire group. Meanwhile, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé are seen frequently supporting each other on social media.

This photo has sparked debates across the internet. Fans siding with the trio argue that Lisa has frequently failed to post or has delayed posting about the other members’ projects. While missing a few posts might be accidental, they feel that Lisa’s continued behavior suggests she lacks care for her fellow members. Most recently, only Jennie and Jisoo shared posts supporting Rosé’s new album.

Most recently, only Jennie and Jisoo posted pictures supporting Rosé’s new album.

In addition, there have been numerous instances where Lisa only posts pictures of herself, while Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé regularly share photos of the entire group.

However, many fans have countered this view. They argue that BLACKPINK has been together for many years, and their bond cannot be measured solely by social media posts or likes.

In fact, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo herself scoffed at rumors of discord about BLACKPINK, stating on Lee Young-ji’s “My Alcohol Diary” that she laughed when seeing conflict rumors between BLACKPINK members

“We (BLACKPINK members) laugh when we see those things. I say [things] like ‘They say that I am your competition, so be careful’, ‘Hey, why didn’t you post it on your Instagram, it made a rumor’, ‘You should have promoted my album’ like this, right? We treat them as a joke”, the female idol said.
