At the press conference for the release of his 3rd mini-album “Pleasure Shop” held on Sep 23rd at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Key spoke about using AI technology to embody the cyborg concept in his music video. He remarked, “It’s an amazing technology. I want to use it as much as possible. I think it’s good if it’s not misused too much.”
He added, “I just hope it doesn’t surpass humans.” He shared his opinion, “AI covers are really scary. I never recorded it, but my voice is used to sing another artist’s song. I watched it with a sense of amazement. As technology advances, I think there should be licenses and laws related to the use of voices.“
Key’s “Pleasure Shop” is his first release in a year and centers around the theme of a “pleasure shop” and its owner “Cyborg Key”. Following his previous “Retro Trilogy”, the album is once again highly anticipated for its unique concept. It contains six songs, including the title track of the same name, and will be released at 6 PM on Sep 23rd.
