The KGMA organizing committee announced on September 11th, “Winter and Nam Ji-hyun will be MCs for the second day of the 1st Korea Grand Music Awards, which will be held on November 16th and 17th at the Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.” The MCs for the first day, November 16th, will be NewJeans’ Hanni and Nam Ji-hyun.
Winter is the main vocalist of the 4th-generation representative girl group aespa, known for her outstanding vocal ability and soulful voice. She is highly regarded as one of the top talents among girl groups of her generation, participating in numerous projects such as OSTs and duets.
Nam Ji-hyun, who will serve as MC for both days, is currently starring in the drama “Good Partner”, portraying a rookie lawyer who can’t stand injustice. Nam Ji-hyun made her debut as a child actress in 2004 with “Say You Love Me” and left a memorable impression as young Deokman in “Queen Seondeok”. She has continued to build her career across various genres, including thrillers and fusion historical dramas, such as “Suspicious Partner” and “100 Days My Prince”.
The “2024 KGMA” will celebrate artists and music that have achieved significant success in various genres such as K-pop, trot, band and solo music, loved by domestic and international fans. The event is expected to be a festival uniting artists and fans alike.
The first lineup of artists participating in the awards ceremony includes NewJeans, NiziU, aespa, ATEEZ, ZEROBASEONE and Taemin. The KGMA organizing committee plans to announce the second and third lineups soon.
Hanteo Chart will provide the digital and album data, while FanCast will handle the official fan voting. The event is hosted by Ilgan Sports (EdailyM) and organized by the KGMA organizing committee.
