The guest of the day was Jo Jung-suk. The two met through the 2011 drama ‘What’s Up.’
‘What’s Up’ is a campus drama set in a university’s musical department, featuring Daesung, Jo Jung-suk, Im Ju-hwan, Oh Man-seok, Jang Hee-jin, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Ji-won, and others.
Jo Jung-suk commented, “Daesung is a good actor. Even when we were filming ‘What’s Up,’ I thought he was a really smart kid.”
He continued, “So I hoped Daesung would continue acting.”
Daesung then shared, “Among the people who worked together back then, Kim Ji-won has become really popular these days. Actually, we still have a group chat.”
He added, “I can’t bring myself to contact Ji-won. Normally, I would, but now I hesitate because I worry she might think, ‘Is this guy trying to use my fame?'”
To this, Jo Jung-suk replied, “Try contacting her. Her number might have changed,” causing laughter.
In the end, Jo Jung-suk and Daesung sent a video message asking Kim Ji-won to appear on ‘Jip Daesung.’ Daesung said, “Ji-won, the two of us have reunited after a long time. You’ve been really busy lately, right? If you ever feel lonely when you return to Korea, there’s another home here.”
He added, “Ji-won, give me a call. I’m always available.”
Jo Jung-suk also chimed in, “Please appear on ‘Jip Daesung’ just once. When you have time, please join us,” adding to the humor.
