On August 22nd, a video titled “Jihun-hyung will be in more pain. Sexy junior Taemin worried about Rain’s joints | Season B Season 4 EP.43″ was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Season B Season”.
Rain introduced Taemin, “There is a special junior whom I really like. This friend has a great attitude on stage, excellent showmanship, and possesses everything. There’s nothing negative to say.”
Regarding his 5th mini album “Eternal” released on August 19th, Taemin mentioned, “I was concerned about whether I should show a new side. I thought a lot about the title. I wanted to do what I’m good at, but I decided to try something new.”
In response, Rain commented, “If you stay in your comfort zone just because you’re popular, you might receive praise at the time, but you are essentially falling behind.” Taemin admitted, “I’m also troubled by whether having a distinct style is enough, or if I really need to try something new. I keep going back and forth.”
Rain advised, “It shouldn’t be too new; it should be a mix of both. There are two main reasons why artists fail suddenly: First, when you do what you want instead of what the public wants, it can lead to failure. Second, when you become too arrogant. Just avoid those two things. Don’t try to change too much.”
Taemin shared, “I’ve accumulated some experience over the years. Although it’s not as much as yours, when I compare myself to how you handle MCing so skillfully, I still find myself struggling to get used to it. I feel that I have many shortcomings.”
He continued, “When people say I look cool, I sometimes wonder if it’s a hidden camera prank or something. But the fact that someone sees me positively is truly a blessing, and I’m very grateful. I’m just doing my own thing.”
Rain responded, “Actually, I’m very grateful and happy, but when people say ‘I’ve seen you on stage since I was young’, it feels more like a burden. When I go to the broadcast station, people usually come to greet me. If that’s no longer the case, it’s fine. But if someone passes by and doesn’t greet me? That’s really arrogant and disrespectful.”
Taemin asked, “Are there really people who act so rudely towards you? Not greeting you?” Rain replied, “I just think to myself, ‘You’ll soon disappear too.’ When a senior passes by, you should greet them.“
