A is accused of defaming Kang Daniel by uploading a fake news video about the male idol on their notorious YouTube channel, Sojang, in 2022.

Initially, the prosecution filed a summary indictment against A in November last year. However, at the request of Kang Daniel’s side, the court referred the case to a formal trial.

Meanwhile, A was indicted without detention in May for repeatedly posting videos defaming celebrities and influencers. They are also currently appealing after losing the first trial in a defamation lawsuit filed by IVE’s Jang Wonyoung.
