According to a report from Maeil Business Newspaper on August 12th, Seungri was seen several times at clubs located on the beach in Bali, Indonesia, including the S Club, on August 10th.
In a video obtained by the newspaper, Seungri can be seen talking with one or two women, believed to be Korean. When one woman asked, “Will Oppa Seunghyun (Seungri’s real name) buy it for us?”, Seungri responded, “Yes, I’ll buy it, I’ll buy it.”
Additionally, one of Seungri’s companions reportedly approached other Korean tourists, suggesting, “Our place is only 5 minutes away, come hang out with us.”
On August 11th, AllKpop, a K-pop-focused media outlet in the U.S., reported that event management company TSV Management announced on Instagram Stories that they would be hosting an event called “Burning Sun Surabaya” on August 31st, with Seungri as a special guest.
Seungri later responded in an interview, saying, “I want to stay quiet, but my name keeps coming up, and I think people are getting tired of it, so I want to set the record straight. I don’t even know where the area mentioned in the article is, and I’m not familiar with the club’s name. They say I’ll be there on August 31st, but I have no plans to attend.”
