According to insiders in the music industry on August 7th, Jeon So-yeon is considering several companies, including HYBE’s label KOZ Entertainment founded by Zico. The expiry of Jeon So-yeon’s contract in November became known to the public after the female singer mentioned it in her rap lyrics during (G)I-DLE’s 3rd world tour at KSPO DOME, Seoul on August 3rd. In particular, Jeon So-yeon said, “Contract ends in November, who would ever stop me?”.
Although some controversies arose due to her rap, people in the entertainment industry have already been discussing (G)I-DLE’s contract renewal and Jeon So-yeon’s contract ending earlier than that of other members since earlier this year. (G)I-DLE’s exclusive contract ends next year”. As articles regarding the issue poured out, Jeon So-yeon directly clarified the information, claiming that the performance had already been discussed with the agency in advance.
Making their debut in May 2018, (G)I-DLE will celebrate their 7th debut anniversary this year.
