Stray Kids Completed Large-Scale Performance As ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ Headliner

Stray Kids presented spectacular performances as the headliner of the American music festival Lollapalooza Chicago

On August 2nd (local time), Stray Kids attracted 110,000 audiences as they took the BUD LIGHT STAGE headlining performance of the famous music festival Lollapalooza Chicago at Grand Park in Chicago, Illinois. This is the group’s third time headlining a major overseas festival following I-Days in Milan (Italy) and BST Hyde Park in Longdon (England). Being the first K-pop artist to perform at the Lollapalooza Paris in July 2023, Stray Kids was invited as a headliner for the second consecutive year at the Lollapalooza Chicago.

Stray Kids showed up on the Chicago stage with the title song “S-Class” of their third full album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)”. After that, they continued the performance with songs representing the group’s color such as “Freeze”, “Super Bowl”, “TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)”, “Thunderous”, “ITEM”, “DOMINO”, etc. With “Longly St.”, “Social Path (Feat. LiSA)”, “Charmer”, and “My Pace”, the group showcased their wide range of music. After boosting the heat to the climax, Stray Kids brought about a “Michelin” performance and led the crowd to sing along to “Back Door”, “MANIAC”, and “God’s Menu”.

The highlight of the festival was Stray Kids’s 2024 comeback song “Chk Chk Boom”, the title track of their mini album “ATE”. This song has placed No.1 for 5 consecutive times on Billboard Main Chart ‘Billboard 200’. Thanks to the enthusiastic cheers of Chicago fans, Stray Kids completed a perfect encore stage with “LALALALA”, “Victory Song”, “MIROH”, and “TOPLINE”. Immersing themselves in Stray Kids’s extraordinary stage presence, the audience could not stop cheering loudly even after the performance was over. Performing “Chk Chk Boom (Festival Ver.)” for the first time, Stray Kids filled a long setlist with a total of 21 songs.

Stray Kids recently set their own record on the US Billboard Main Chart and solidified their reputation as a “global top artist” with their album “ATE” and the title song “Chk Chk Boom”. As soon as the album was released, it ranked No.1 on both Billboard 200 and Artist 100, as well as No.49 on HOT 100. This is the fourth time in the group’s career that they dominated both charts, following “ODDINARY”, “MAXIDENT” and “★★★★★ (5-STAR)”. In particular, Stray Kids broke their own record on HOT 100.

Stray Kids will begin their new world tour starting with four shows at KSPO DOME in Seoul on August 24th ~ 25th, and August 31st ~ September 1st.
