Recently, Lee Chaeyeon, a former member of girl group IZ*ONE, published a photo with the words “OOtd” (Outfit of the Day) doodled on it.
However, some quickly noticed that the doodles on Chaeyeon’s photo were greatly similar to the doodles once drawn by IVE’s Rei, leading to comments accusing Chaeyeon of “copying” the latter.

In response, Chaeyeon mentioned that she only used a frame from a photo app, not knowing that it was Rei who made the original doodle. She also edited the caption of the original photo to credit Rei.
Nevertheless, malicious comments continued to appear on Chaeyeon’s SNS, to the point the female idol ended up deleting the photo altogether. As a result, many netizens are expressing sympathy for Chaeyeon, saying that she never meant any harm.
It was also pointed out that there the frame used by Chaeyeon indeed exists, likely made by a fan inspired by Rei’s doodles, so the attacks on Chaeyeon is unreasonable.
