According to Star News on July 26th, Cha Eun-woo will be appearing in the new drama “The Wonder Fools” (working title).
“The Wonder Fools”, initially known as “The B Team”, tells the story of “flawed superhumans” whose supernatural abilities manifest against their will. Although various discussions took place during the planning stages, including adapting an original work, “The Wonder Fools” will ultimately be developed and produced as an original story.
In the drama, Cha Eun-woo will play Lee Woon-jung, a mysterious parachute officer with many secrets and little social skills. He is a lonely character who rarely lets anyone get close to him, but through his encounter with Eun Chae-ni, he learns the meaning of “we”. Park Eun-bin has been cast as Eun Chae-ni.
The drama will be directed by Yoo In-sik, known for SBS’s “Dr. Romantic” series and “Vagabond”, as well as ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”. The script will be written by Huh Da-joong, who adapted the film “Extreme Job”. Writer Kang Eun-kyung, who worked with director Yoo In-sik on the “Dr. Romantic” series, will participate as a creator.
Produced by Romantic Crew, Kakao Entertainment and Fantagio, “The Wonder Fools” is set to finalize casting and begin filming in the second half of this year. The release platform has not yet been determined.
Cha Eun-woo appeared in MBC’s “Wonderful World”, which concluded last April. He has also met global fans through his fan concert “2024 Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator]”, and made headlines with his appearance at “Waterbomb Seoul 2024” held at KINTEX Outdoor Global Stage in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province on July 5th.
