On the morning of July 17th, a surprise video message from actor Song Kang, who is currently serving in the military, was revealed during the press conference of Netflix’s original series “Sweet Home 3” at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
At the event, cast members from Season 3, including Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Go Min-si, Jin-young, Yu Oh-seong, Oh Jung-se, Kim Mu-yeol, Kim Si-a, and director Lee Eung-bok attended, except for Song Kang and Lee Do-hyun who are fulfilling their military duties.
As Song Kang’s surprise video message was announced, the attendees shouted “Hyun-soo” together, referring to Song Kang’s character in the series.
Appearing on the screen, Song Kang said, “‘Sweet Home’ Season 3 is going to be released. It feels like just yesterday that we filmed the first season, and now we’re already at Season 3.”
He continued, “It’s all thanks to the fans who have given us so much love. Just as you have loved the show so far, please continue to give lots of love to Season 3 as well. See you on Netflix.“
Watching this fondly, Lee Jin-wook joked “This isn’t an AI synthesis, right?“, causing laughter among the attendees.
Song Kang enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier last April.
