Donald Trump Spoke Up After Rally Shooting

On July 14th, Donald Trump released a post on the social media ‘Truth Social’ after the attempted assassination in Pennsylvania. He wrote, “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.”

Recalling the moment he found out he was shot, the former US President said, “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”.

His daughter Ivanka Trump also expressed her gratitude to Law Enforcement for their quick response to the incident that happened to her father. She said, “Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country”, adding “I love you Dad, today and always”.

Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. also revealed that his father is maintaining good condition after talking to him on the phone. Regarding his father, Donald Trump Jr. stressed, “He’ll never stop fighting to save America”.

Right after the incident occurred, Donald Trump was hurriedly accompanied out of his rally at Butler, Pennsylvania. The police stated that the suspect had been arrested and killed and they are investigating it as an attempted assassination. Trump is safe, but 1 spectator at the rally died and two were seriously injured.

Current US President Joe Biden’s campaign team sent a letter to all the staff asking them to “refrain from making comments on social media and in public places about the issue”. They have also temporarily cut all contact with the outside and taken down TV ads.

The shooting happened while Joe Biden was attending a church service in Rehoboth, Delaware. After being informed of the issue, he said he had tried to reach out to Trump and criticized political violence.
