GOT7’s Yugyeom X Youngjae “The atmosphere of music shows has changed + Everyone is filming challenges”

Super Junior's Donghae and Eunhyuk, along with GOT7's Yugyeom and Youngjae, discussed the changing atmosphere of music shows

On July 5th, the YouTube channel “I Am Dongbaek” uploaded a video featuring Super Junior’s Donghae & Eunhyuk and GOT7’s Youngjae & Yugyeom.

Eunhyuk mentioned, “You guys are called the third generation, right? Why is the second generation so long? We debuted in 2005.” Regarding the generational divisions, Youngjae said, “Actually, it got divided so fast that it’s hard to follow. We can’t follow either. Because the fourth and fifth generation came out immediately. It feels like the sixth generation is going to come out soon. Why is it going by so fast?

Donghae added “The sixth generation debuted now“, to which Youngjae reacted with surprise. Eunhyuk humorously said, “Called Super Junior. We’re in the sixth generation as we did our comeback this time. We’re just saying that amongst ourselves.”

The conversation then shifted to the changed atmosphere of music shows. Yugyeom started by saying, “The atmosphere in the music show is so different now…” Eunhyuk agreed, “It’s so different.” Donghae confessed, “I can’t feel the vibe of the music shows. You just go and record.” Eunhyuk added, “They just tell you to record and go. Last time, I had some time left and stayed. Apparently they usually do that. I saw everyone shooting for dance challenges. They don’t take any breaks and just shoot challenges. And only if they do that, they do some promotion. So I tried to do that this time. They told me to record it and go so… I had no time to encounter the performers.

Yugyeom shared, “Before, you would record and then sleep during your breaks right? You need to rest, to replenish your stamina. But now there’s no time to sleep at all. If you really go out, the other singers are always filming.” Youngjae agreed, “The thing that’s really disadvantageous for solo artists is that, if you’re in a team then it’s divided and you decide who does what. But I had to do that alone in a room and trying to memorize four things at once so, I’m like, ‘What should I do?’
