ITZY Chaeryeong, “Please spread that I had LASIK surgery… I’m afraid my wearing sunglasses might be misunderstood as celebrity disease”

ITZY Chaeryeong shared an anecdote that she asked the manager to spread information about herself because she was afraid that people would misunderstand her wearing sunglasses as “celebrity disease”.

Chaeryeong communicated with fans through Naver V LIVE yesterday (May 24th).

While Chaeryeong was wearing sunglasses and communicating with fans, she suddenly said, “I had LASIK surgery. When I went to the company wearing sunglasses, I noticed something. There were a lot of employees at the company that day.”

Chaeryeong then explained how she felt at the time, “I was worried that (in-house employees) might think I had celebrity disease.”

Chaeryeong, who encountered many employees in the company that day, recalled, “I first greeted them then explained by pointing to sunglasses, ‘Hello! I did LASIK surgery, so…'”

Chaeryeong continued, “I even asked the manager in charge directly, ‘Manager, I’m wearing sunglasses because I had LASIK surgery. Please spread it around the company.”

Chaeryeong added, “The company is really big. There are a lot of people, and there are some employees that I meet for the first time. I did my best not to be misunderstood by those who meet me for the first time.”
