Many people don’t show changes in their face color no matter how much they drink. On the other hand, some get red all over their body after just one or two drinks. Celebrities are no exception. Some stars look like people who have good alcohol tolerance but actually get drunk quickly.
1. Actor Kang Tae-oh
Kang Tae-oh, who recently rose to fame after starring in ENA’s hot drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, cannot drink much alcohol. He once appeared on a SBS entertainment program in 2019 and got drunk after having two sips of beer. Revealing his drinking tolerance on KBS CoolFM’s “Kang Han-na’s Volume Up Radio” in 2020, the actor shared, “If I order 500cc of beer, it will take me 6 hours to finish it.”
2. Actor Lee Jin-wook
Lee Jin-wook, who captivates female fans’ hearts with his charming appearance and outstanding acting skills, is also one of the stars who can’t drink well. The actor appeared on tvN’s “Three Meals a Day Season 2” in 2015 and drew attention as he confessed that he could not drink even a single glass of alcohol. Actor Kim Ji-seok appeared on MBC’s “Radio Star” in 2016 and told an anecdote that Lee Jin-wook sometimes drives him home because he doesn’t drink.
3. Actor Yoo Ah-in
Yoo Ah-in, a “super insider” who boasts close friendships with many stars, also has a weak alcohol tolerance. In an interview with Daily Sports in 2016, the actor revealed, “I’m not good at drinking. I’m not picky about alcohol but I can’t drink well and my face turns red very quickly”. Yoo Ah-in also shared, “I don’t do anything special when I’m drunk except for becoming a little talkative.”
4. BTS’s J-Hope
J-Hope, who recently made a splendid solo debut, receives many compliments from ARMYs for his cuteness because he’s also a weak drinker. In 2020, a photo showing J-Hope with his face turning red even though he didn’t finish his drink was released on the official Twitter account of BTS. In the video showing the company party uploaded on BTS’s Youtube channel in 2018, J-Hope drew laughter as he was seen drinking only a little but couldn’t pick up the food in front of him because he was so drunk.
5. Singer Zico
Zico, who recently returned to the music industry after fulfilling his military service as a public service worker, cannot endure alcohol well. He appeared on JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” in 2018 and confessed the fact that he gets drunk very easily. Zico also confessed a funny anecdote that he was late for an important shooting because he couldn’t wake up from sleep after drinking the day before. The reason he drank alcohol was that he heard that drinking alcohol would make his face become less swollen.
6. Singer-actor Park Hyung-sik
Park Hyung-sik, who is loved for his warm visual and perfect physique, is another celebrity who cannot drink. Park Hyung-sik appeared on KBS CoolFM’s “Lee So-ra’s Music Plaza” in 2014 and revealed that his face turned red after drinking only one glass of alcohol. He once surprised everyone with the story that he had a cramp in his leg after drinking a can of beer when he was a trainee.
