Lee Il-hwa once addressed a playful scandal involving her and actor Park Bo-gum, who is 22 years younger than her, during an appearance on a variety show.
The two starred together in the drama “Reply 1988”. A dating rumor surfaced after photos of them together during a reward trip to Phuket were released. Lee Il-hwa explained that the photos were taken simply because they happened to walk together by chance, which led to the spread of the rumor. She also expressed her apologies to Park Bo-gum for the misunderstanding.
