With a series of crimes such as gang r*pe, secret filming, pimping, and creating a chat group to share videos of women being sexually assaulted, former BIGBANG member Seungri alongside his friends Jung Joon-young, Choi Jong-hoon, and others, shocked Asia in 2019.
In the more than an hour-long documentary, many messages, images, and scenes about the depraved private lives, perverted secret filming habits, and the degrading remarks about women made by Seungri and his friends left viewers horrified.
Especially, just 2 video clips vividly showing how Jung Joon-young filmed women and treated them like objects were enough for the public to imagine the horrific acts that Seungri’s gang had committed in the past.
1. Treating Women as “Toys” for Amusement and Relishing Their Abusive Exploits
Right at the beginning of the documentary “Burning Sun – Exposing the secret K-pop chat groups,” just over a minute in, the BBC shocks the audience by revealing a video of Jung Joon-young sexually harassing a woman. In the recorded clip, the singer gropes the woman’s sensitive areas while looking into the camera, addressing his “friends” with a satisfied, delighted expression, boasting about his exploit to the members of the sex chat group.
BBC also published a series of messages exposing the vile nature of Jung Joon-young and his comrades in the sex chat group. Not only did they secretly film and spread sensitive footage of the women, but they also made crude comments about the victims of their sexual assaults. These men viewed r*ping a woman and filming their crime as a pastime to satisfy their perverse desires.
“My heart ached when I read the conversations in that sex chat group. The content was more horrifying than I imagined,” said reporter Kang Kyung-yoon, the first to access data on the chat group of Seungri’s gang, unable to hide her horror.

- Jung: You r*ped that girl, haha.
- Jung: Everyone does that in bars now.
- Jung: Disgusting.

2. Jung Joon-young Forces Women to Drink Until They Pass Out to Exploit Them
The second video released by BBC shows Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon drinking with young women. In the clip, Jung Joon-young repeatedly forces a woman to drink. Despite the woman refusing and stating that she does not want to drink anymore, Jung Joon-young continues to force the visibly drunk woman, who is nearly slumped on the couch, to drink. Choi Jong-hoon and others at the party seem too accustomed to the scene, allowing Jung Joon-young to carry out his intentions. His actions have enraged the public, and no one wants this pervert to be released after serving a short sentence.
3. Horrific G*ng Rapes with Victims Unaware
In 2015, Jung Joon-young and his sex chatroom gang decided to “hunt” during a ski trip to a resort near Seoul, South Korea. There, a severe sexual assault occurred. Choi Jong-hoon invited some female friends to the ski resort for a party. The women shared that shortly after drinking with Choi Jong-hoon, Jung Joon-young, and four other men, they lost all memory and had no idea what had happened.
Afterward, the sex chat group became active as numerous sensitive images and videos of the sexual acts were continuously sent by a member named Kim. The purpose of filming these depraved acts was to update Seungri—who was absent from the trip—about their exploits.

- Kim: A friend of ***, ***, a girl who talks a lot.
(Then, a series of images and videos of women being raped were continuously sent to the chat group.)
In March 2016, Jung Joon-young and his gang r*ped a woman who had passed out from drinking too much and hitting her head at a hotel in Daegu. BBC also revealed messages recounting the event gleefully between Jung Joon-young and members of the sex chat group. Despite the woman being unconscious from the fall, Jung and his friends did not intend to stop. They took turns assaulting her and filmed the entire process.
After committing the r*pe, Jung told his friends that it was the “most fun night” of his life. According to reporter Kang Kyung-yoon, Jung Joon-young, Choi Jong-hoon, and their friends played with women’s bodies like toys, making the girls unable to insult or resist. Finally, they mocked the victims’ suffering and treated it as a trophy.
Jung Joon-young and members of the sex chat group committed multiple g*ng rapes.
