“The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” tells about genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon), who used to work on the battlefield, as he tries to revive the trauma center after being appointed to a university hospital. By capturing urgent medical situations and the fierce struggles of the characters, the drama increases viewers’ immersion.

The drama is gaining high attention in Korea as well.

As of January 29th, “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” topped ‘Top Series of Korea’ and has entered Netflix Top 10 in 26 countries, including Chile, Peru, Romania, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, etc.

Reacting to the drama, Korean viewers commented, “I really enjoyed Netflix dramas recently. The story is so new with Baek Kang-hyuk as the main character and there are no details such as a forced romance or a chronic disease in Korea. I hope the cast continues to appear in Season 2”, “I didn’t expect much but the drama was so interesting. I watched the whole drama at once yesterday”, “I stayed up all night watching the series. Yoon Kyung-ho’s acting is so good”, “Watch the drama, everyone. I’ve never seen such a perfect drama. It’s not boring at all. It’s so immersive”, “I’ve watched all 8 episodes and Joo Ji-hoon plays Baek Kang-hyuk so perfectly”, etc.

In particular, fans are demanding the production of Season 2.

In this regard, Joo Ji-hoon said, “We should discuss it in more detail. However, every time I complete a project, I realize the importance of fellow actors. The director and actors are so good and they worked really hard. But if Season 2 is produced, it would definitely be a good experience for them. There’s no reason to say no”, raising expectations.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s global hit “Squid Game 2” remains on the top of non-English TV Shows even after 5 weeks. It is still popular with 7.9 million viewers.
