Zico x Jennie’s “SPOT!” sweeps domestic and international charts
Artist-producer Zico has swept the top spots on major weekly charts both domestically and internationally
Zico’s digital single “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)” topped the weekly charts of Melon, Genie and Bugs for the latest week (April 29th~May 5th). Particularly on Bugs, the song has conquered the weekly chart by consistently securing the top spot on the daily chart since its release.
As of 2 PM on May 6th, “SPOT!” continues to hold the top spot on the Melon Top 100 chart and real-time charts of Genie, Bugs and Flo, indicating that the success of this song is likely to continue.
The popularity of “SPOT!” that ignited in Korea is spreading overseas. According to the latest YouTube chart released on May 5th (aggregated from April 26th to May 2nd), “SPOT!” claimed the top spot on the global weekly popular music video chart.
Moreover, on the latest “Daily Top Songs Global” chart on Spotify, the song climbed 9 spots from the previous day to rank 78th.
“SPOT!” marks Zico’s first release this year, coinciding with his 10th solo debut anniversary. It captures the unadorned moment of two friends who met at a party late at night. The dance challenge for “SPOT!” has gained popularity on various short-form platforms including TikTok, establishing Zico’s status as a trendsetter.
Zico will kick off his university festival performances starting with “2024 Phoenixia” at Soonchunhyang University on May 8th, followed by various university festival stages such as “Akaraka Onnuri with ALUMNI” hosted by Yonsei University’s Alumni Association and cheering squad on May 26th.
