Who can be the successors of the legendary trio Kim Tae Hee – Jun Ji Hyun – Song Hye Kyo?

Kim Ji Won, Kim Go Eun, and Kim Hye Yoon are being hailed by fans as the "new Tae - Ji -Hye" of the Korean entertainment scene.

All three actresses boast remarkable beauty and are highly praised for their acting skills. Their names are synonymous with numerous works that have garnered K-content global acclaim.

Kim Ji Won debuted in 2010 as a model for mobile phone advertisements before transitioning into acting. It was in 2013 that Kim Ji Won caught the eye of audiences with her portrayal of Rachel Yoo, a wealthy heiress, in “The Heirs.”

It was her role in “Descendants of the Sun,” alongside Song Hye Kyo, Song Jong Ki, and Jin Goo, that truly transformed her career. Since then, Kim Ji Won has consistently been chosen for lead roles in dramas such as “Fight for My Way,” “Arthdal Chronicles,” “My Liberation Notes,” and most recently, “Queen of Tears.”

Notably, Kim Ji Won is the only actress chosen by three of Korea’s top screenwriters: Kim Eun Sook, Park Ji Eun, and Im Sang Chun.

Known as the “muse” of the Korean screen, Kim Go Eun has been lauded for her acting skills since the early days of her career. In 2012, she made a significant impact with her performance in “A Muse” directed by Jung Il Woo. The film revolves around the romance between a 70-year-old poet and a 17-year-old schoolgirl. While “A Muse” was praised for its artistic aspect, it also sparked controversy due to Kim Go Eun’s bold scenes. Nonetheless, her portrayal earned her nine awards at various film festivals, including Best Actress at the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards.

Following this success, Kim Go Eun further solidified her reputation as a talented actress through acclaimed works such as “Monster,” “Coin Locker Girl,” and “Memories of The Sword.” Her role as an abandoned girl in the subway station in “Coin Locker Girl” garnered widespread praise at film festivals and was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. A year later, Kim Go Eun captivated audiences as the bride of the goblin in the hit drama “Goblin,” further cementing her fame.

Most recently, at the Baeksang Arts Awards, Kim Go Eun won Best Actress in the film category for her remarkable performance in “Exhuma,” a film that drew over 11 million viewers in Korea.

Kim Hye Yoon

Kim Hye Yoon, born in 1996, graduated from Konkuk University with a major in film. In 2018, she first garnered attention for her role in the drama “Sky Castle.” This role helped her win Best New Actress at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards. Subsequently, Kim Hye Yoon continued to captivate audiences with roles in dramas such as “Extraordinary You” (2019), “Secret Royal Inspector” (2021), “Midnight” (2021), and “Snowdrop” (2022).

Her debut on the big screen was in “The Girl on Bulldozer,” a film that not only succeeded at the box office but also won numerous awards at international film festivals. This role earned her the Best New Actress award at the 2022 Blue Dragon Awards.

Presently, Kim Hye Yoon is making waves globally with the drama “Lovely Runner.” The drama follows the story of a girl who unexpectedly travels back in time to change her own fate and that of her loved ones.
